Dobriy den' (Hello in Russian),
I would like to share some of my heart and calling with you.... Six years ago Adonai introduced me to the Messianic Jewish community in San Diego which I knew nothing of. At that same time He introduced me to the Jewish community at large, which I quickly fell in love with thanks to many at Kehilat Ariel( my home congregation in San Diego), certain individuals , and dear friends. Through several divine appointments I quickly discovered that I had a Jewish heart, though I am not Jewish by blood. Eventually Adonai put on my heart the need to move from sunny San Diego to Langhorne PA, where I enrolled in the Institute of Jewish Studies (IJS) a one year program connected to Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU).
In 2007, I learned so much from IJS and visited Israel ( a dream come true). While in Israel, Adonai showed me that my heart would not be at peace until I was sharing Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah with the Jewish people whether that was in Israel or New York City. When I came back to the states, for two years I was very unhappy, because what I experienced in my walk with Yeshua and experienced in Israel, had opened my heart and mind to what I wanted to do with my life, which was to work in Jewish ministry at some level. Finally, in 2009 I joined a missions team lead by my dear Jewish French friend Philippe to Israel, where I discovered what it really meant to work with the Jewish people, and share the gospel with them. The last part of that month I was there, Adonai, sent me to the Red-light district in Tel-Aviv where I helped feed, and counsel Russian Jewish prostitutes and drug-addicts. Working in the red-light district broke my heart and gave me pure joy that is unexplainable. I saw how the Russian Jews were treated and how incredibly open to hearing about Yeshua they were. It dawned on me, there is nothing else in the world that I would rather be doing, than to be working and helping Russian Jewish drug-addicts and prostitutes and being on CPM's team.
My senior year at PBU, G-d opened the doors for me to be apart of an internship connected to CPM ( WOO HOO!). My friend Ryan K. (worked with CPM for years now) and I met up one day at PBU and I told him how I wanted to work with Russian Jewish drug-addicts and prostitutes through ministry. Ryan looked at me and smiled, then said that I was one of only a few people he had heard of that actually wanted to work with Russian Jews. Ryan then went on and explained that CPM would love to have me work with them in their Russian Jewish ministry since so few wanted to. I immediately jumped on the opportunity. After much praying, many issues with my application and miss communication I was several months later accepted. This internship is a dream come true for me.
For all of this I am having to learn basic Russian so that I will be able to communicate. I will also be needing lots of prayer support. If you would like to financially support me, please let me know. Blessings in Yeshua and Shalom.
