First day of internship!

Spokoinoi nochi Rutoro(good evening -Russian) everyone,

Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulations, devoted to prayer- Rom. 12:12 (NASB)

G-d is good and faithful to those who walk by faith, trust in Him fro guidance, and keep seeking His will and guidance. I want to say a quick thank you to everyone for their prayers, support, and love for that has helped me keep strong since moving here. I have been in NYC now for a week and today was my first day of the internship. Up till today I havebeen struggling and overcoming sadness ( missing home), excitement (being in the City that never sleeps), and frustration (constantly being told there is no work). But my faith and hops is in Him who gave me life and a love for the Jewish people. That is up to this point....
At 11am this morning I started my internship with CPM in Manhattan. I am happy to say that I am sharing my internship with a friend of mine (Chris O.) who I did ministry with in Tel Aviv, Israel. I have been worried that I would not have someone to help me but Chris is a good friend and will be helping me. I will be interning on Tuesdays and Thursdays and partaking in events during the week depending on when I get a job and it's schedule. I found out today that sadly I will be limited in my Russian ministry/outreach because my Russian is not good. But I will be involved in working with Russian drug-addicts along with administrative duties in the office, following missionaries, campus outreaches, womans outreach, be involved in MetroMoses ( young adults Messianic group) and several other outreaches. I am going to be extremely busy.  I am now trying to raise more financial support and find a job during this time I am here because I am discovering and have been told that is what I am going to need to do so that I can get supplies and pay for living here in NYC. I am not worried overly because I trust in G-d who is the Provider.   Today in the internship I learned who worked at the office, what I will be doing, what is expected of me and how things are run. I am so very excited and looking forward to this time.
Prayer requests: The devil likes to attack those who do the work of G-d and so I ask that you would keep me in your prayers that I would stay focused and not be distracted from the work He has laid out for me to do. I ask that you would be praying that G-d would open opportunity for me to become friends with at least one or two orthodox woman or Russian Jewish woman who are not believers in Yeshua (Jesus) and that G-d would open opportunity for me to work part time some where near Manhattan or Brooklyn and that I would be able to raise monthly support so that I can pay bills. Thank you again for all your prayers and blessings.  I pray in this New Year that G-d blesses you and guides you  and I wish you a Shana Tova.   The next time I will be able to update you on the L-rds work will be Monday, so stay tuned.

Shalom,
Rebekah
