Rebekah's Internship in NYC updates.: Learning what it means to wait on Adonai..

The hardest lesson for me to learn since the minute I got here is that God has a perfect time for everything to happen and whether we like it or not I am to wait. I have been frustrated since getting here because I have been feeling like God has given me a calling to help Russian Jewish drug-addicts and has given me the talents for that but I he has me sitting on the sidelines watching everyone do ministry around me. I have been wondering and doubting the calling in my life, until recently .... I realized that He has me here to plant a seed in my friend's life and to introduce her to other believeing Jewish friends so that when I leave they will be able to water that seed. Then tonight Mark , one of the missionaries with CPM, invited me to a meeting at the Brooklyn CPM center to meet a Russian girl he met recently, when I got their Mark told me it was a meeting for the mothers of Russian Jewish drug-addicts! My heart did a double flip! I immidiatly told Mark thats what I have been wanting and waiting to do along, that was what I had come here to do! Mark was shocked! After the meeting he introduced me to Sylvia and she told me that she had talked to my boss about having someone who speaks english help her teach meetings in English to Russian drug addicts that dont speak Russian. I told her how that is what I want to do and Mark said he would talk to Ryan (my boss) to see if he would let me do this instead of what he has had me doing. So please be praying that Ryan will say yes to this.
Now recap..... Every Monday now several students (aka my roommates) from the Feinburg Institute of Messianic Jewish Studies , myself and Chris, and Mark have been going to Brooklyn College to raise awareness of Human Trafficing and how in the next five years it will be the number one crime in America and that NYC's JFK airport is the number one airport that victims are trafficed through. It has been wonderful and rewarding becuase we have been able to get many many students to sign up and say that they are interested in getting involved. With this we are not just reaching out to the Jewish students but everyone, becuase trafficing goes across cultures and language barriers. Along with Brooklyn College outreach I have been meeting with a man named Doug Pile and Chris at different colleges (this week it was Columbia University) sharing Isaiah 53 at a book table with Jewish students as they walked in. I have pictures down below. Doug has been great to work with because he is not Jewish and yet lived in Israel for six years , knows Hebrew fluently, and is a great missionary. It's a great learning experience working with him during the week. Becuase Ryan is in Africa right now Chris and I have been extremely busy with meetings, college outreach, and bible studies.
Now this week is continuing to be very busy becuase tomorrow I get to go to a Chinese church in Manhattan with Mark to a drug addicts meeting where several Jewish people are involved. Mark is hoping that I wil get involvved with them but I am not really interested in the Chinese ministry but that is ok I am still going to go and listen. Also later this week I will be going with Mark to another Russian drug addicts help meeting here in Brooklyn once more before Ryan flys back here from Africa. And then it's back to a normal rutine in the office at CPM headquarters. Up till now I have been feeling a bit useless, but that feeling is starting to ware off and that is great, so thank you everyone for your prayers. Oh before I forget I have to ask if you could be praying for my roommates and myself because the begining of next week we are moving into new apartments. Please be praying the mpve goes smoothly.
